Exalted is a game about demigods in a world on the brink of war, and you’re playing as one!
For a game that is mostly about story telling, it still possesses a lot of gameplay elements, which is honestly the thing I care about most in RPGs anyhow. (After all, RPG stands for role playing GAME)
Here’s a reiteration of some of the important page numbers:
Caste Abilities – pg 121
Ability Descriptions – pg 150
Merits – pg 157
Charms – pg 250
Limit Triggers – pg 134
Blurb about effectively making your character – pg 124

Very convenient and helpful, but some things I noticed were missed out
There is things like soak, parry and evasion on the character sheet linked that were not mentioned in the video.
What is 'Willpower', beyond a thing you have five of and can buy more for two points apiece?
Merits are listed as being buy-able for one point per dot. Merits are brought with points, not dots, though.
The cover makes it look like a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure RPG in the thumbnail.
Great video thank you so much! Would love to see some videos on what is possibly the first tabletop RPG, Metamorphosis Alpha
I want to say thank you very much for laying at the basic overview of exalted. A group of friends wants to learn how to play exalted and you have made unsurpassed basics. I will be sharing your videos and channel with friends to support your content. Your work will take the world I am currently trying to DM and run further in a shorter span of time than imagined.
Where'd you get the idea that Solars should have benevolent goals? They often do, mind you, but that's because most players don't usually want to make Creation even shittier than it is. The Bull of the North doesn't have particularly benevolent goals unless you're an Icewalker, and Havesh the Vanisher is just a prick.
You don't have to be an Abyssal to be a bad guy.
I've been trying to make a character for about a month now. The reason it's taking so long is because of how horribly set up the book is and how awkward and clunky the ability score system is to me. I'm a casual player who is used to dnd 3.5e. The UI of that character sheet and the companion handbook are at least somewhat noob friendly. This book is straight up a middle-finger to any newcomers that don't have a vet player to hand-hold them through this. The game is probably really fun to play. But I wouldn't know. I've been too busy digging through mountains of pointless lore and exposition that casuals like me don't care about. And I see that I'm basically the only one that has a problem with this. Am I doing something wrong? Am I filling out the character sheet wrong? Is it bad that I expect introductory mechanics to be in the character creation sections?
so is it better that old exalted which i remember you weren't a fan
